Students can learn science effectively with over 100 science simulations they can touch, hold and interact with! Merge Explorer (along with a Merge Cube) allows students to investigate a smoking volcano in the palm of their hand, examine a great white shark up close, hold and explore the solar system, dissect a frog (humanely!), and so much more. With easy-to-follow activities and built-in quizzes, students gain key knowledge while immersed in learning, both in the classroom or while remote learning at home.
Merge Explorer includes NGSS-aligned topics for K-8th grade, like Physical Science, Life Science, and Earth & Space Science.

The “stamp” and “place in world” features were misbehaving in some of the science simulations, so we’ve fixed them! There were also a few UI issues, so we fixed those, too.
Since this is a maintenance release, and we don’t have any exciting new features or announcements to share, we’ll leave you with a science joke:

This update brings back stamping, so you can use your Merge Cube to place simulations into your room! You can also resize and manipulate simulations that have been “placed” or “stamped”.

“3D Mode” offers a cubeless experience for students and teachers, enabling a wider range of devices to access the science simulations, and giving you an all-new way to interact with the 3D content!
“World Mode” allows you to place all science simulations in the real world, to interact with them in your environment.

This version of Merge Explorer will officially kick off our introductory support for Chromebooks! Merge EDU Chromebook support is an ongoing project where we aim to support as many Chromebooks as possible. Later releases will improve the overall experience, but this release has the essential UI setup and support for select 2019 or newer models.
